OSEO – Support for innovative and growing companies
OSEO has been created in 2005, by bringing together ANVAR (French innovation agency) and BDPME (SME development bank), around a mission of general interest supporting the regional and national policies. Its mission is to provide assistance and financial support to French SMEs and VSEs in the most decisive phases of their life cycle : start up, innovation, development, business transfer / buy out. OSEO networks with all public and private-sector organizations contributing to the success of innovation and business development including banks, venture funds, equity investors, competitiveness clusters, chambers of trade, commerce and industry, research organizations, EU Structural Funds and Community research programs. www.oseo.fr
PETALE – Pépinière Technologique Alpine d'Entreprises
PETALE is a specific program designed to accelerate the successful development of early-stage high tech companies through an array of business support resources and services. Particular attention is paid to strengthening the sales team and getting the first reference customers. The program also provides fundraising assistance and connexions to the innovation and technological eco-system through its network of contacts.
GRAIN – Grenoble Alpes Incubation
GRAIN is an incubator dedicated to the successful launch of innovative businesses. As the entrepreneurs are often former engineers from research labs or technology driven companies, GRAIN focuses the incubation process on the constitution of the core team, the development of an entrepreneurial culture as well as marketing and business planning support in order to assist the entrepreneurs in understanding the market needs and in selecting the best business model. GRAIN also connects the entrepreneurs to its large network of external contacts including local and national institutions, VCs, market research experts, and legal advisers.
LIG – Laboratoire d’Informatique de Grenoble, Drakkar group
The LIG is made up of 500 researchers, lecturer-researchers, students and postdocs, as well as technical and administrative staff members. The LIG’s scientific charter is to imagine the future of Computer Science : refine the domain’s concepts, put forward models and algorithms that effect its evolution, and create prototypes assisting the potential usages to take form. The LIG’s research is organised into four major scientific themes : Infrastructure (networks, computing and data), Software (foundations and design models), Interaction (perception, action and dialog), Knowledge (learning, agent models and web-ontologies). The Drakkar group is recognized for its contributions to the study and improvement of communication network technologies with an emphasis on wireless and sensor networks.
